The word kuumba is a Kiswahili word the means “to create”. It seemed a perfect name for the endeavor we wanted to embark on. An endeavor to bring the great history and storytelling of African people to the world. In much the same way, Hollywood has brought the world stories of the success and lives of America and its growth. We want to show ourselves and the world what the people of African descent have done and have to say. Our stories and lives are no less important than any other culture on the planet! Therefore, we have started this long-term journey and our sincerest hope that in few years we will present content that will make us all stand up and be proud.
